gig @ One Drop Cafe on 4/1

First time in quite a long time, we played gig at a new location.  To be exact, it was our second visit, but somehow we had a feeling that we were acustomed to be there.  The wall and shelves are neatly displayed with fine objects and posters to welcome you and provide you a nice and cozy  atomosphere.  Well, that's how Tomo might descrive.  She always opens my new eyes on these subtle details.  Anyway, we shared the stage with other two artists.  First guy is called "Yamiiro-kenban."  He has a very unique color to his performance.  He tells a story and plays music between sceans.  His story was very much like science fiction and interesting.  And it drew our attention and kept it till the end.  Second party was us.  We switched the air to very much like orthodox pop music.  That's what we like, and what we want to develop.  Then followed by the third guy called "Haru-18 ban."  We first met at an open mike in Kyoto.  Today is the second time to hear his music.  He is also a story teller type musician.  I enjoyed his nonfiction story songs, his stage direction using a colarge of some commercial sounds and his talk.  Both were so talented, and we could learn from them a lot.   (A)

久しぶりに新しいところでの対バンであった。厳密に言うと訪れるのは2回目であるが、通いなれた様相の持てる場所だ。壁や棚にはきれいに整えて飾られた小物やポスター。それらが訪れる人を歓迎し、心地よさをもたらすのだろう。・・・と、まあこういう事はだいたいTomoが気付き、ぼくはいつもそういう指摘を聞いて僅かなディーテールに目をやるようになってきた。さて、今回は我々以外にあと2組（2人）の出演者で順番に演奏した。トップバッターは「闇色鍵盤」さんという方だ。とてもユニークなカラーの持ち主で彼は自作の物語を語りながら場面場面で歌を歌う。その物語はSFチックで聴く人を惹きつけて最後まで放さない。2番目が我々の出番。空気を一気にオーソドックスな音楽用に変えた。まあ、それが我々の好むものであり突き詰めたいものである。3番目は「春什八番」さんという弾き語りのアーティストだ。彼とは京都の飛び入りで初めて会った。ぼくは彼の実話に基づく唄やコマーシャルのコラージュを使った演出、そして彼のトークがとても面白いと思った。両者ともとても才能溢れるパフォーマーであり、見習うところ満載であった。　　　（A）
